20 People You Didn't Know Were In A Harry Potter Film

13. Jim Norton

norton €˜I have to kick Bishop Brennan up the arse!?€™ It€™s been fifteen years since the conclusion of Father Ted, the hilarious Irish-British show about a dysfunctional trio of priests and their housekeeper living in a remote island community. Though the highlights of the show were undoubtedly the leading threesome of the late Dermot Morgan (Ted), Ardal O€™Handlon (Dougal) and Frank Kelly (Jack), the most memorable of the series€™ recurring guest stars was Bishop Brennan, the narcissistic superior of the three who despite being held in high regard by much of the Catholic faith is actually a hateful individual with an illegitimate son in America. The role was played by Jim Norton, not to be confused with the American comedian of the same name, who would later turn up in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, playing the role of Mr. Mason, a dinner guest at the Dursley household.

12. Jim Tavare

trew Being the favourite comedian of Prince Charles is sure to have a few perks, though despite being championed by the heir to the throne, Irish comedian Jim Tavare is far from a household name in the UK, though he has performed his bass-led comedy act at the Royal Variety Performance three times, Tavare is more known in America, where he finished in fourth place on the sixth season of Last Comic Standing. His television credits include Wings, Californication and Chuck, and his film credits include Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. In the film, Tavare plays Tom, the Leaky Cauldron barman, in a somewhat ghoulish fashion. This was in stark contrast to the ordinary take on the character given by Derek Deadman in the first film.
