15. The Kidney - Urban Legends: Final Cut
Urban Legend wasn't great, but it had enough imaginative moments to keep slasher fanatics satisfied.
Too bad the same cannot be said about the sequel. Urban Legends: Final Cut is so slow, poorly written, and formulaic, you don't even care who's still alive or who the killer is by the end.
However, one death should stick in everybody's mind. After being grabbed by an unseen assailant, Lisa awakens hours later in an ice-filled bath. After inspecting her body, Lisa notices her kidney has been surgically removed.
When the kidnapper realises she's awake, Lisa slams the door and calls the police. Unfortunately, the cops hang up, believing Lisa is pranking them.
As she attempts to escape through the window, her abductor bursts in. Out of desperation, the killer digs his fingers into Lisa's fresh wound, causing her to let out a bloodcurdling scream.
He starts to drag her back into the room, causing her to break the glass of the window. Rather than dragging her in completely, the killer slams the window shut, guillotining her with the glass shard.
The film as a whole is nothing special, but this scene gets top marks, thanks to the visceral acting, great use of gore, and sky-high tension.
