20 Predictions For This Oscar Season's Rotten Tomatoes Scores
10. The Founder (79%)
Predicted Critical Consensus: "Michael Keaton astounds in the title role, as The Founder makes the rise of McDonald's an uncommonly involving, and darkly hilarious, tale of 'progress'".
Marketing for The Founder so far makes it look highly entertaining, chiefly due to Keaton's larger-than-life presence, although director Johnny Lee Hancock (The Blind Side, Saving Mr. Banks) can be pretty hit and miss.
Still, it's being written by Robert D. Siegel (The Wrestler, Big Fan) which is usually a good thing, and the supporting cast including Laura Dern, Nick Offerman, Patrick Wilson, John Carroll Lynch and many more should give Keaton countless terrific scene partners to bounce dialogue off.
As long as it doesn't end up feeling like a commercial for McDonald's, which it almost certainly won't, this should be a perceptive and devilishly funny look at how the fast food giant took over the world.
