It's not a tough life being a film reviewer: even if you're not being paid to be in Cannes it's a lot better than being in an office cubicle or behind a till somewhere, but that doesn't mean it's any more easy having to get up at 7am after a night of over-priced beer to sit in the dark for two and a half hours at 8.30am.

The biggest film fans in the world aren't supposed to watch films at that time of day, and sitting through a foreign language kitchen sink drama about someone finding themselves in their relationship with their mute neighbour isn't exactly a caffeine shot.

Looking around, you can see heads nodding, and more often than not you can usually hear someone gently snoring in your immediate vacinity.
