If youre a fan of classic horror, than I guarantee this Whedon penned instant classic gave you multiple cinegasms. Not only does it pang of that slick, signature Whedon humour, his ability for clever characterization and his thrillingly unique conceptual vision; it also houses more ingenious references to the genre it deconstructs than even the mighty Shaun of the Dead. What starts out as youre a-typical teen-slasher flick quickly spirals into something entirely more intelligent, which manages to simultaneously satisfy our craving for convention while also offering up something completely unique. If you havent had the chance to see it, whether youre into your horror or not, get on it as soon as humanly possible.
