11. Neville Loves Luna - Deathly Hallows: Part 2

The Line: During the attack on Hogwarts, Harry bumps into Neville and Ginny: Neville: You haven't seen Luna have you? Harry: Luna? Neville: I'm mad for her. I think it's about time I told her, since we'll probably both be dead by dawn! Why It's Ridiculous: If you're a fan of the books, this is another instant annoyance simply because it was left open and ambiguous in the source material, yet was thrown into the movie willy-nilly. Plus, the whole idea of a guy running off to profess his love in the face of serious danger is another action film cliche that's just been worn thin beyond belief over the years. And the line "Since we'll probably both be dead by dawn!" is flippant to the point of hilarity, and clashes with the sense of real danger we otherwise feel during the scene.
