20 Most Ridiculous Lines From The Harry Potter Films

12. "Mooooooorning" - Deathly Hallows: Part 1

The Line: More creaky romance now, as Ginny asks Harry, "Zip me up, will you?", and while doing so, Ginny asks, "Seems silly, doesn't it? A wedding. Given everything that's going on." Harry replies, "Maybe that's the best reason to have it, because of everything that's going on." The two then have a smooch while George sneaks around, and when Ginny notices him, he lets out a cheeky "Moooooorning", before giving the pair a sly wink. Why It's Ridiculous: Everything from the proceeding dialogue to the pay-off is pretty ridiculous. The whole "zip me up, lover" thing has been done so many times throughout fiction that it's become a lame, warmed-over cliche for sustaining sexual tension. George's elongation of the word "morning" cements how silly the whole scene is, and it almost seems that, like the audience, George just wanted to poke fun at the rather lame cinematic romance taking place between Harry and Ginny (which is far more effective in the books).
