20 Rotten Tomatoes Predictions For 2023's Biggest Movies

7. Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania (78%)

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom Jason Momoa
Marvel

The Ant-Man films are basically nobody's favourite MCU movies, but they have benefited from basically being breezy palate cleansers between bigger and more "serious" franchise tentpoles.

The first two films scored 83% and 87% respectively, though it's also worth noting that the MCU as a whole has seen something of a critical dip as of late, with Eternals netting the series' first Rotten score (47%) back in late 2021.

Even so, critics seem to dig the vibe of the Ant-Man flicks so far, and while they'll surely be wowed by the size-shifting shenanigans once again, the inclusion of a less-frothy antagonist - Kang (Jonathan Majors), the MCU's next Big Bad - could disappoint those hoping for a threequel without major ties to the wider universe.

Still, it looks harmless and inoffensive in the very least, which will probably ensure it scores slightly lower than its predecessors at worst.
