What an incredible run the John Wick franchise has had to date, going from basement-low expectations for the 2014 original to becoming a genuine blockbuster action franchise in its own right.

The series has been shockingly consistent so far, with the first film scoring 86% and the first two sequels both netting 89%. And from the marketing, there's little reason to doubt John Wick's fourth chapter continuing the streak.

One suspects it'll score slightly lower than the original trilogy due to the sheer law of diminished returns and how difficult it is to keep critics fully onboard with a concept like this - especially with the announcement of a fifth film making it abundantly clear this chapter will conclude nothing.
