20 Rotten Tomatoes Predictions For 2023's Biggest Movies

13. Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts (82%)

The Transformers franchise has never been a critical fave, what with Michael Bay's original five movies rocking a pathetic average of 29.2% on the Tomatometer, with not a single one of them achieving Fresh status.

But 2018's sans-Bay Bumblebee spin-off suggested an encouraging critical about-turn for the series, scoring a shockingly impressive 91%, making it clear beyond any doubt that critics were keen to see a new voice tackle the IP.

And the upcoming Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, a standalone sequel to Bumblebee, looks like it'll follow the same tonal and stylistic lead, ditching the juvenile humour of the Bayformers films in favour of more earnest character comedy and source-faithful Transformer designs.

By adapting the beloved Beast Wars storyline, it should bring a totally fresh flavour to the franchise, and will in turn probably enjoy broad acclaim from critics.
