20 Rules You Must Follow To Survive A Slasher Movie

19. Ignore Mysterious Noises Coming From The Next Room

This should be obvious. You're in an isolated cabin. All of the lights have just gone out. There's a thunderstorm raging outside. You're a character in a slasher movie. Why would you go and check out the genuinely creepy and unnatural sounds coming from the next room? More to the point, why would you go alone? You're the character that, no doubt, will be killed in a silent but incredibly painful way, with the killer determined not to alert the others to their presence. Your body will definitely fall out of a random closet onto the main character at some point later in the film.
