Speaking of that recognition factor The Terminator franchise has, it looks like the latest instalment of the franchise is doing its level best to coast by on the goodwill of long-term fans. Mainly by reminding people of how good the earlier films were, with trailers for Terminator Genisys including any number of call-backs to the earlier films. Emilia Clarke's Sarah Connor gets to say the come with if you want to live, old Arnie gets to fire a shotgun at his younger self (re-created with computer magic from the first Terminator), and then there's a more subtle nod to T-2: Connor says she's trying to get her T-800 to blend in, and he flashes that goofy smile her son teaches him in Judgement Day.
