20 Terrible 2015 Movies That Should Never Have Happened

4. Fantastic Four

The Plot: The latest attempt to reboot the iconic Marvel superheroes, as four youngsters (Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell) develop superheroic abilities in a freak accident, and must contend with a villainous former colleague, Victor von Doom (Toby Kebbell), who is similarly afflicted. Why It Shouldn't Exist: Because Fox proved with the 2005 and 2007 Fantastic Four movies that they couldn't make a good one to save their lives, and they only made this new one to stop the rights reverting back to Marvel, where they surely would've been picked up by Marvel Studios for the MCU. The film's troubled production is well-documented by now, resulting in a sloppy final product that critics and audiences alike actively despised. The film should literally never have happened: Fox should have appreciated their position, held their hands up and just let Marvel Studios try not to screw it up.
