11. "This One Time, At Band Camp..."
Alyson Hannigan has made a nice little career for herself off the back of teen sex romp American Pie, having been cast in a lead role in sitcom How I Met Your Mother and starring in each of the 'Pie' main franchise follow-ups. Of course, what she's really remembered for in Pie 1 was her repetitiveness as school geek Michelle, who bores protagonist Jim to tears with her tales about band camp. Each of Michelle's stories begins with the phrase "This one time, at band camp...", delivered at exactly the same pitch and exactly the same pace on every single occasion. It's easy to see why Jim is infuriated by it, but when the line spilled out of theatres and onto the streets, his frustration was experienced for real. When someone says it, the quote simply refuses to leave your head. And boy, does that get annoying.
