20 Terrible Movies That Do NOT Deserve Their Fresh Rotten Tomatoes Scores

1. Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull

Thor The Dark World
Paramount Pictures

Score: 78% (Average Score: 6.90/10)

Consensus: Though the plot elements are certainly familiar, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull still delivers the thrills and Harrison Ford's return in the title role is more than welcome.

The widely hated fourth Indiana Jones film really has a certified fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes. What?!?!

Still, to be fair, this seems like a similar case to Iron Man 2: a high score born out of a sense of initial denial from reviewers. After all, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull deservedly gets a fairly negative reception these days. Where to even begin?

The action sequences are completely lifeless, Cate Blanchett's villain is a hammy joke, the supporting cast is tiresome as hell, the special effects are risible, the plot is abysmal, the screenplay is bereft of any charm, wit or fun, and worst of all, it's just really, really boring.

The aliens weren't even the big issue - the real problem is that this whole thing is such a braindead, passionless zombie of an adventure flick with none of the exhilarating thrills and uproarious joy that made the original trilogy so completely wonderful.

Therefore, this high score is something Rotten Tomatoes will struggle to ever live down.

Deserved Score: 20-40%.
