Yep, this actually happened.

The Blair Witch Project isn't that good and is ageing about as badly as any movie has ever aged, but it remains a three-star film and was nowhere near one of the worst films of 1999. Worse still, Heather Donahue's performance is great and her even being nominated, let alone winning, was a complete embarrassment.

Corrected:

One of the very worst films of 1999 was The Rage: Carrie 2, an appallingly bad sequel to a horror classic that somehow got completely ignored by the Razzies. That should've been nominated for Worst Picture and many other things too.

As for Worst Actress, Saffron Burrows' terrible lead performance in the cult classic Deep Blue Sea deserved some 'recognition' here. Frankly, anyone but Heather Donahue.
