When Olivia is introduced in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, she comes across as a harmless physicist. Even though she works with the nefarious Wilson Fisk, you assume he's using her against her will. However, Olivia shows her true colours shortly after. Not only is she as insidious as her boss, she's revealed to be Olivia Octavius - a gender-swapped version of Otto Octavius, AKA Doctor Octopus.

Although this twist catches viewers off-guard, it was repeatedly foreshadowed. When Miles walks into his physics class, the students are watching a video, where Olivia is discussing multiverse theory. Even though Olivia's name appears on the screen, it's obscured by Miles' head.

But when Miles twists his neck, you can make out the words "OLIVIA O" onscreen. If anyone familiar with Spider-Man lore noticed this, they could deduce Olivia's surname is Octavius, implying she is this universe's Doc Ock.

But that's not all. By skimming through Olivia's office, you'll notice her lights, door lock, and furniture are octangular, further highlighting her malevolent nature. And when you realise Olivia's glasses are octagon-shaped, you wonder how you didn't work out her identity sooner.
