8. Christian Bale & Director Mary Harron Watched Porn To Plan The Threesome Scene

Figuring out how to shoot a sex scene can be awkward and challenging at the best of times when you're dealing with just two actors, but American Psycho's lurid three-way between Bateman and two prostitutes required some very special prep indeed.

Harron and Bale both watched a series of porn tapes to figure out how to block the scene appropriately for sufficient camera coverage, and according to Harron, Bale even made stick figure drawings of which sexual positions he thought would look best on camera.

Once again, Bale's famous perfectionism wins out.
