20 Things You Didn't Know About Batman Forever

4. Bob Kane Liked Val Kilmer The Most

Bob Kane lived a long and storied life in the comic world, there to witness his creation do the Batuisi, wear an anti-shark belt, kill many, many thugs, and inadvertently lead to the deaths of The Joker, The Penguin and Two-Face.

He passed away in 1998, meaning he also probably saw bat-nipples and bat-ass, but he was coherent and at peace with what his creation had meant to so many generations, and he never didn't have an opinion to offer.

Of all the Batmen that had appeared onscreen, he said that Val Kilmer offered the best interpretation to date. He didn't live to see Christian Bale or Ben Affleck take the role nor will he see Robert Pattinson don the cowl in the future, and one wonders what he'd make of it.
