3. It Led To Jim Carrey Covering The Beatles

Show business makes strange bedfellows. After watching Carrey mug his way through the role, legendary Beatles producer George Martin approached him with the intent that the actor record a cover of "I Am The Walrus" for a tribute album he was in the process of putting together.

Carrey, being Jim Carrey, accepted immediately, and it wasn't long before he was in the studio. It's difficult to imagine any actor refusing a request from the guy who produced The Beatles. It's a fine performance, too, both respectful of the material but still inflected with Carrey's own brand of wackiness.
