When it was darker in tone, The Riddler was intended to have a shaved head with a large question mark engraved in his brow. Jim Carrey was on board with the decision, and even reportedly looked forward to taking his career to places outside of Ace Ventura.

One could always remove the make-up, however time constraints would make it difficult.
