Interestingly, DeVito actually read in a newspaper that he was being considered for the part of the Penguin a whole year before he was offered the role.
Could it be some kind of spookily accurate premonition on the part of the print media, perhaps employing some kind of divination and ritualistic black magic to infer substantial truths about the distant future? Or maybe they were just chucking enough s**t at the wall in the hope that some might actually stick and make it look as if they knew what they were talking about?
