20 Things You Didn't Know About Catwoman

13. The Jail Cell Bars

Sharon Stone Halle Berry Catwoman
Warner Bros.

After Patience Phillips is held in custody at a police station for the murders of Lambert Wilson's George Hedare and Peter Wingfield's Dr. Ivan Slavicky, her feline companion, Midnight encourages her to escape from her confinement and be as free as the cat had intended when it first granted her the power to be Catwoman.

Taking a cue from Midnight's own ability to squeeze through cell bars, Patience manages to fit through the bars of her cell and escape.

However, if you watch the film closely, you can see the cell's bars bending to accommodate Halle Berry as she passes through them, which likely was not one of the powers that Midnight gave to Patience.

I started writing for WhatCulture in July 2020. I have always enjoyed reading and writing. I have contributed to several short story competitions and I have occasionally been fortunate enough to have my work published. During the COVID-19 lockdown, I also started reviewing films on my Facebook page. Numerous friends and contacts suggested that I should start my own website for reviewing films, but I wanted something a bit more diverse - and so here I am! My interests focus on film and television mainly, but I also occasionally produce articles that venture into other areas as well. In particular, I am a fan of the under appreciated sequel (of which there are many), but I also like the classics and the mainstream too.
