During the movie, Josh is occasionally seen wearing a baseball cap bearing the letters "KU."

This is actually the branding of University of Kansas, and more than a random prop, it's actually something of a personal flourish for Paul Rudd, who is himself a KU alumni, having majored in theater during his time there.

In more recent years Rudd also confirmed that the hat was indeed his own which he brought to set.

It was agreed that Rudd could wear the hat in the movie on the condition that he gave it to the wardrobe department for safe-keeping, to avoid the risk of it being lost and ruining the continuity of a scene.

According to the man himself, though, he sadly never got the hat back at the end of shooting.
