6. Joe Pesci Didn't Expect To Win An Oscar

Although it was nominated for a total of six Academy Awards, the film criminally only won one of them, that being the best supporting actor award for Joe Pesci.

Pesci, however, didn't think he was going to win, so when he was announced as the winner, he was taken entirely by surprise.

Since he didn't think he would win, he had no acceptance speech, so all he managed to utter out was "It's my privilege. Thank you." This is reportedly the sixth shortest acceptance speech in Academy Award history.

Strange how a film expected to win big at the Oscars only took home one award, which the recipient didn't even expect.
