The movie had its world premiere at Hollywood's historic El Capitan Theater, while the post-premiere party was held at L.A.'s exclusive Sunset Room club.

For a movie like High Fidelity, you'd certainly expect a musical focus at the premiere party, and true to form, Jack Black's band Tenacious D gave a performance for party-goers.

It's an especially interesting anecdote as, despite forming in 1994, Tenacious D didn't break into the mainstream until the release of their self-titled 2001 debut album, released almost 18 months after High Fidelity hit screens.
