20 Things You Didn't Know About Layer Cake

11. It's One Of The Most Profanity-Filled Films Of All Time

Like the overwhelming majority of Brit gangster films, Layer Cake is absolutely loaded with colourful language, to the extent that it holds claim to being one of the most profanity-laden Hollywood movies ever produced.

The film features 210 utterances of the word "f**k" and its variants, which equates to roughly two uses of the word per screen minute.

This places it 54th on the all-time list of movies to feature the word, placing it just north of Scarface (207), This Is The End (200), 8 Mile (200), and 22 Jump Street (200).

And yet unlike so many other films on the list, the language never feels excessive or affected: it perfectly fits the characters and the tone of the story.
