20 Things You Didn't Know About No Country For Old Men
8. A Familiar Briefcase
The main plot of No Country For Old Men really begins when Llewelyn Moss stumbles across the bloody scene of a drug deal gone wrong.
It is here that Moss finds a briefcase containing $2 Million and takes it with him, resulting in the Mexican gang, as well as Anton Chigurh, trying to track him down to retrieve the money.
This isn’t the first time that a briefcase full of money has been the cause of problems in a Coens brothers movie. A similarly ill-fated pursuit of a briefcase takes place in their 1996 movie, Fargo.
In fact, it’s more than just similar; the Coens used the exact same briefcase from Fargo for No Country For Old Men.
This fact will hopefully stop any more delusional fans of Fargo from trying to track down the briefcase buried in the snow somewhere in Minnesota, as it was in the film.
