3. There Are Several Batman References In The Movie

Though Scorsese recently claimed that Marvel movies aren't cinema, Shutter Island received plenty of attention from Batman fans for the references, whether coincidental or otherwise, which seemed to nod to aspects of the Caped Crusader's lore.
