20 Things You Didn't Know About SPECTRE (2015)

18. Haven’t We Met Before?

Recalling the early Bond films starring Sir Sean Connery, the 24th film shows SPECTRE meeting at the Palazzo Cadenza in Rome (a combination of Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire and the Albert R. Broccoli 007 Stage at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire), although Double-0 Seven infiltrates the meeting.

Standing on a balcony overlooking the meeting aside various members of the evil organisation, James Bond is surprised to see Franz Oberhauser - a man whom he believed to be dead - chairing it. However, there is another familiar face standing right in front of him.

This actor resembles Tom So, who portrayed Mr Fukutu during the Texas Hold ‘Em poker game in Montenegro in Casino Royale, but he is actually So’s brother, Clem So. Nevertheless, Clem So had crossed paths with Double-0 Seven in SkyFall, portraying a patron of the Golden Dragon Casino in Macau whom Bond passes as he leaves.

I started writing for WhatCulture in July 2020. I have always enjoyed reading and writing. I have contributed to several short story competitions and I have occasionally been fortunate enough to have my work published. During the COVID-19 lockdown, I also started reviewing films on my Facebook page. Numerous friends and contacts suggested that I should start my own website for reviewing films, but I wanted something a bit more diverse - and so here I am! My interests focus on film and television mainly, but I also occasionally produce articles that venture into other areas as well. In particular, I am a fan of the under appreciated sequel (of which there are many), but I also like the classics and the mainstream too.
