11. Every Line Was Improvised
Another element that gave a natural and real feel to The Blair Witch Project is the fact that Heater Donahue, Michael C. Williams and Joshua Leonard had no real script for the movie.
Before shooting began, the three were giving a 35-page document that gave some background to the mythology of the Blair Witch and to the nefarious acts seemingly carried out in her name. Likewise, there was an extremely loose narrative for the picture.
From there on out, though, the three actors were on their own when it came to the dialogue and even a good chunk of the action seen in the film. In an extreme rarity, every line of dialogue in The Blair Witch Project was improvised on the spot.
