20 Things You Didn't Know About The Omen

5. The Curse Finally Claims Lives

The studio used and abused rumours of a curse surrounding crew members until the film's release, at which point they no longer had a need for it. Donner, on the other hand, still believes it followed many for years after working on the film, much like that of King Tut.

The director, now 90, has managed to survive it, but he does believe it was responsible for at least a few deaths. Shortly after working on The Omen, specials effects man John Richardson and his assistant left for Holland to work on A Bridge Too Far. The two were killed after a truck collided with their car on the way back to the hotel.

It's easy to ascribe anyone who died after production wrapped to some urban legend, however Donner considers their deaths directly related.
