20 Things You Didn't Know About The Predator
13. Predators Have Squared Off With A Who's Who Of Comic Book And Video Game Legends
In addition to the aforementioned Aliens, Dark Horse has spent the last thirty years loaning out one of their prize properties to other companies. This has resulted in some of the oddest, but most fun, comic stories ever told.
Starting in 1991, Predators have crossed paths with Batman, Magnus, Robot Fighter, Motorhead (the Dark Horse character, not the band, although that would be epic), Judge Dredd, Terminators, Tarzan, Witchblade, the Justice League, and Superman. Some of these encounters have resulted in re-matches (Batman and various Predators have gone toe-to-toe three times) and some have been one-and-done stories.
One comics run, Aliens/Predator : The Deadliest of the Species goes a step further, and shows a trophy wall displaying the skulls of Cyclops, Magneto, and Batman, as well as one of Wolverine's hands with claws extended. Predators aren't picky about comic company loyalty, it appears.
In addition to comics, Predators have invaded the world of video games. Not counting the many games specifically about Predators, the character has also made it into the Street Fighter canon, as a playable character in Mortal Kombat X (the fatalities have to be seen to be believed,) and as a limited-time event in both Call of Duty : Ghosts and Ghost Recon Wildlands.
The strangest crossover, however, which appears to have been created during a strong acid trip, deserves it's own entry...
