If you're ever lucky enough to become a professional film maker, a doff of the cap to those who paved the way for modern cinema is a nice touch, and who better to pay your respects to than the master of suspense himself, Alfred Hitchcock.

In one scene, Rachel stares from her hi-rise apartment window and observes life on the other side of the block. Eagle eyed viewers may have spotted one bloke in particular, a man in a wheelchair with his left leg in plaster.

This is a direct reference to the Jimmy Stewart classic thriller Rear Window, where a housebound photographer with a broken leg watches helplessly as his neighbour in the opposite apartment murders his wife. Hitch would've approved.
