3. Most Of The Cast Weren't Told About Eddie's Corpse Under The Dinner Table
One of the movie's most startling moments occurs in the infamous dinner scene, where Frank reveals that Eddie's mutilated remains are housed directly underneath the tablecloth.
Hilariously, Jim Sharman decided not to inform most of the cast that this was going to happen, with only Tim Curry, Richard O'Brien, and Meat Loaf being made aware of the reveal, the latter of course having to pose as Eddie's corpse.
As a result, the shocked expressions from the majority of the cast are largely genuine. Basically, Sharman pulled Ridley Scott's Alien chestburster trick several years before Scott himself actually did it.
