20 Things You Didn't Know About The Rocky Horror Picture Show
19. Susan Sarandon Was Asked To Appear Nude (But Refused)
Susan Sarandon of course plays the film's sexy lead Janet Weiss, who spends a good portion of the movie in a state of undress.
But the filmmakers originally wanted to take things much further by having the actress actually appear nude for the iconic song "Touch-A, Touch-A, Touch Me" opposite Rocky Horror (Peter Hinwood).
Sarandon flatly refused to fully disrobe, though her nevertheless risque performance in the movie did result in Playboy magazine doggedly pursuing her for a nude pictorial for many years afterwards.
She said in a 1991 interview, "They have been after me since The Rocky Horror Picture Show."
