20 Things You Didn't Know About The Sixth Sense
1. Bruce Willis Did The Movie As Payback
Back in 1997, Bruce Willis was on board to headline Disney’s Broadway Brawler from director Lee Grant.
Famously, that movie remains one of Hollywood’s great unfinished features – the production falling apart after Willis used his co-producer credit to fire everybody and shut the film down just three weeks into shooting.
At that point, Bruce found himself facing a $17.5 million lawsuit from Disney for disrupting one of their tentpole pictures.
Luckily for Bruce Willis, producer Joe Roth managed to calm this situation down by getting Willis to agree to a three-movie deal as payback to Disney. Those three films? Armageddon, The Kid, and The Sixth Sense.
