17. A Child Really Did Almost Shoot Superman
There is a scene in the film in which David Dunn's son played by Spencer Treat Clark, points a gun at his father (Bruce Willis) and threatens to shoot him in order to prove that his superhuman abilities are real. What is fascinating about this scene is that Superman actor George Reeves, went through the same thing in real life.
As the story goes, Reeves (who portrayed Superman in the television series The Adventures of Superman during the 1950s) was confronted by a child who held a gun to the actor, wanting to test if the bullets would actually bounce off his chest.
Reeves managed to deflate the situation by saying that the bullets would bounce off him and injure innocent bystanders, convincing the child to hand over the gun.
