20 Things You Didn't Know About War Of The Worlds
6. John Williams Had To Compose The Score Without Seeing The Full Movie
Steven Spielberg and iconic composer John Williams have of course worked together numerous times, though their collaboration on War of the Worlds resulted in Williams having to adjust his usual composing method.
Due to the film's tight post-production schedule, Williams was given access to roughly only half of the movie when he started work on the film, marking the first time he'd ever scored a Spielberg project without first seeing a full cut of the movie.
No matter the constraints placed upon him, it's a typically fantastic score which enhances the film's mood immeasurably.
