20 Things You Somehow Missed In Alfred Hitchcock Movies

2. It's A Christmas Movie - Psycho

North By Northwest
Paramount Pictures

Move aside, Die Hard - there is a new thriller movie set at Christmas time that has nothing to do with the festive holiday!

Production for Psycho started shooting during November 1959 and finished at the very beginning of February 1960. As a result, Christmas decorations are visible in some frames, particularly noticeable in Marion Crane’s driving scenes.

Hitchcock decided not to edit out/reshoot these moments and embraced the holidays by displaying the date “Friday, December the Eleventh” at the very beginning of the film.
