6. Banshees Have Two Sets Of Eyes

Did you ever notice that Pandora's dragon-like Banshee characters actually have two sets of eyes, totalling four? In addition to their larger, immediately noticeable eyes, they have a smaller set scarcely visible behind them.

The larger eyes are modelled off eagle eyes, which are among the sharpest in the animal kingdom and allow for eyesight said to be up to eight times stronger than a human's.

The smaller eyes were reportedly inspired by goat eyes, which provide a field of vision ranging from 320-340 degrees, ensuring just a very minor blind spot behind the head.

This combination of ocular systems is vital for the Banshee's effectiveness as a predator, and like much of the flora and fauna in Pandora, is heavily inspired by our own reality.
