19. Orgy American Style???
When Marty McFly first skates into town, there is a cinema in the background which is advertising the film, Orgy American Style. (It was the 1980s. You could get away with stuff like this in a PG-13 rated movie.)
Somehow, it gets weirder than that. If you think this title was made up for a laugh, Orgy American Style is a real porno film, which was released in 1973. And to top it all off, one of the film's stars, George "Buck" Flower, is in Back to the Future! In the 1955 timeline, Buck's character, Red Thomas, has posters plastered across the city to announce his candidacy for the mayor's office. In the 1985 timeline, he appears as the tramp who calls Marty a "crazy drunk driver" when he crashes the DeLorean.
This means that, at some point, the director hired Buck and thought, "Hey! You were in a porn movie! Let's work that into the film somehow!"
And don't forget, the producer was so strict, he argued about having the word "Future" in the title. Can you imagine how he reacted when he learned the same film was promoting pornography!?
