11. Every Replicant Has A Red Glow In Their Eyes

Beyond merely the standard poetic meaning of them being the window to the soul, eyes play a major visual role in Blade Runner. From the opening shots of the Voight-Kampff test to Roy turning Tyrell's skull into this favourite squishy bowling ball.

One small but important creative decision was to have all of the movie's replicants briefly display a red glow in the back of their eyes. Kowalski and Rachael's can both be seen during their tests, Pris displays hers in J.F. Sebastian's home, Zhora's can be seen in the club and Roy's is visible numerous times during the aforementioned murder scene.

Even the Tyrell owl's are red when it's initially introduced...
