20 Things You Somehow Missed In Blade Runner

15. The "Sixth" Replicant

Blade Runner
Warner Bros.

A flub that's since been corrected in certain cuts of the movie leaves room in the narrative for another, unnamed, mystery replicant. According to Bryant, six of them slaughtered twenty-three people and jumped a shuttle. Then, three nights ago, one got fried by an electro-field trying to break into the Tyrell Corporation. This leaves, if your maths is up to it, "5 skin-jobs walking the streets".

However - and again you'll need your maths here - Deckard is only given files on four. Kowalski, Zhora, Pris, and Roy. So where's the 5th?

Well the truth is that another replicant, Mary, was in the original script, but was removed after this scene had been filmed. This however left a big gap in the narrative, leading many people to believe the 5th replicant was, in fact, Deckard.
