20 Things You Somehow Missed In Guardians Of The Galaxy

8. Sakaarans Filled The Badoon Hole

Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 1. Stan Lee
Marvel Studios

Back when James Gunn was forging his first MCU flick, 20th Century Fox were still very much a separate entity from Disney and Marvel Studios.

So, when the director decided that he wanted to use the Badoon race as his Guardians movie's "cannon fodder", he was rather disappointed to learn that the House of Mouse and Marvel didn't actually own the cinematic right to use these "interesting" aliens; Fox did.

Gunn actually only learned of this annoying reality "strangely late in the process", with the director even going as far as to admit that the beings that ultimately went on to become Sakaarans in the film were originally "designed as Badoon".

With Disney now owning 20th Century Fox and all the Marvel names previously under that banner, though, could these creatures that are clearly adored by Gunn finally pop up in a Guardians feature later on this year?
