7. London Can Be Seen On Xandar

Not for the first time in Marvel Studios' Phase 2, London found itself very much at the centre of the madness. But whereas Thor: The Dark World was actually partly set in the capital of the United Kingdom, Guardians of the Galaxy chose to infuse the iconic city into the story in a far more unexpected way.

When taking in the buzzing word of Xandar in the 2014 project, everything from the Millennium Bridge to the Lloyd's Building were sneakily used to add some real-world detail to the largely digitalised planet.

And that former piece of architecture even finds itself being blasted to bits during the epic closing battle on the planet, before Rocket ultimately saves those fleeing for their lives below, of course.
