And one of those terrified folks trying their best to keep from being blown to bits on top of that Xandar Millennium Bridge was a rather familiar looking being by the name of Bereet. You know, the pink lady who first pops up on Peter Quill's ship as the date he completely forgot was present on the Milano whilst trying to get his hands on the Orb on Morag.

While the average MCU fan may assume Bereet was simply little more than a way to highlight just how much of a douchebag ol' Star-Lord could be from time to time, it turns out that this character actually has a pretty unexpected history with one of Marvel's biggest hitters.

Bereet was a techno-artist from the planet Krylor in the comics. After discovering the Jade Giant himself, she became so fascinated by the Avengers icon that she created a film project by the name of The Life and Times of the Incredible Hulk, which went on to be shown in the Rampaging Hulk mini-series.

The pair even became love interests for a spell. So, who knows, maybe Bruce Banner and Bereet's worlds will collide within the MCU at some point, too.
