20 Things You Somehow Missed In Jaws

3. An Extra Ruined A Very Serious Moment

One moment of the film that sticks with you is Alex Kintner’s violent death. The whole scene, in fact, is a pivotal moment of the film. Chief Brody is forced to reluctantly open the beach, despite a teenager recently killed by a shark in those same waters. The premature opening comes at a price as Alex is brutally devoured by Bruce. Causing a huge panic, Brody and parents flee to the water to save their children. It’s as sad as it is terrifying because an innocent young boy meets his untimely death.

But one extra almost ruins the sobriety of the moment as he can be seen running to the ocean with a large grin on his face as well as swinging his arms in a gleeful motion. It is difficult to spot (especially since it was kept in the final film) but once you see it, it becomes impossible to ignore the comical man.
