20 Things You Somehow Missed In Kill Bill Volume 1

15. That True Romance Easter Egg

Kill Bill Vol 1
Miramax & Warner Bros.

The Bride eventually escapes from the hospital after beating rapist orderly Buck (Michael Bowen) to death, but before she departs, she takes both the keys to his "P*ssy Wagon" vehicle and pinches his sunglasses for good measure.

If you're a long-time Tarantino fan, though, those sunglasses might look awfully familiar, even if you can't pinpoint exactly where you recognise them from.

As it turns out, they're modelled after the incredibly similar sunglasses worn by Christian Slater's protagonist Clarence Worley in True Romance, which Tarantino also wrote.

Though Tarantino has suggested over the years that he has mixed feelings about Tony Scott's version of that film, he clearly still has a place in his heart for Clarence.
