20 Things You Somehow Missed In Mad Max: Fury Road

14. The War Boys Pray In The Shape Of A V8 Engine

Mad Max Fury Road
Warner Bros. & Medium

One of Fury Road's most fascinating pieces of world building is the fact that the War Boys appear to worship V8 engines - we even literally see a group of them praying in reverence at a gigantic altar made of steering wheels early in the film.

Pay close attention, however, and you might notice that the War Boys make a very distinct gesture of prayer at the altar, interlocking their fingers in a way that resembles the V8's eight-cylinder piston mechanism.

Miller's attention to detail is just on a whole other level here. Genius.
